The prep time for this recipe is approximately 20 - 25 minutes, including gathering and measuring ingredients, preparing the Bundt pan, and making the praline sauce. Once prepped, the cake bakes in the oven for about 45 to 50 minutes, resulting in a total estimated time of 65 - 75 minutes from start to finish.

Ingredients:

For the Cake:

  • 1 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 package (16 ounces) yellow cake mix

  • 1 package (3.7 ounces) instant vanilla pudding mix

  • 4 large eggs

  • 1/2 cup water

  • 1/2 cup vegetable oil

  • 1/2 cup dark corn syrup

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

  • 2 teaspoons homemade chai spice mix (see recipe below)

For the Praline Sauce:

  • 1/2 cup unsalted butter

  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, packed

  • 1/2 cup heavy cream

  • 1/2 cup chopped pecans

  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract

Homemade Chai Spice Mix:

  • 2 tablespoons ground cinnamon

  • 2 teaspoons ground cardamom

  • 2 teaspoons ground ginger

  • 1 teaspoon ground cloves

  • 1 teaspoon ground nutmeg

Instructions:

1. Preheat your oven to 325°F (165°C). Grease and flour a 10-inch Bundt pan.

2. Spread the chopped pecans evenly in the bottom of the prepared Bundt pan.

3. In a large bowl, combine the cake mix, vanilla pudding mix, eggs, water, vegetable oil, corn syrup, vanilla extract, and homemade chai spice mix. Beat on medium speed for about 2 minutes until well combined.

4. Pour the batter over the chopped pecans in the Bundt pan.

5. Bake in the preheated oven for 50 to 55 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean.

6. While the cake is baking, prepare the praline sauce. In a saucepan over medium heat, melt the butter. Stir in the brown sugar and heavy cream until the sugar is dissolved. Bring to a simmer and cook for 3-4 minutes, stirring constantly.

7. Remove the saucepan from the heat and stir in the chopped pecans and vanilla extract.

8. Once the cake is done, let it cool in the pan for about 10 minutes, then invert it onto a serving plate.

9. While the cake is still warm, poke holes in the top using a skewer or fork. Pour the praline sauce evenly over the warm cake, allowing it to soak in.

10. Serve the cake slices with extra praline sauce drizzled on top.

Enjoy your Spiced Pecan Dream Bundt Cake with Praline Drizzle, a delightful fusion of warm chai spice, nutty pecans, and indulgent praline sauce!
