Redbird: A Culinary Oasis in the Heart of LA

One of my closest friends from San Diego was in town dog sitting, and we decided to meet for a fun Sunday brunch. After doing a quick internet search, we decided to check out Redbird. The gorgeous setting and the retractable rooftop just felt like the perfect vibe for a girls' brunch and a bottle of sparkling rosé.

The menu is a testament to culinary excellence, and two standout dishes are worth noting. The lavender goat cheese salad is a flavor revelation—the delicate balance of fresh greens with the subtle floral notes of lavender-infused goat cheese creates a symphony of taste. It's a refreshing and unique twist on a classic salad. We ordered two salads because I am deathly allergic to pistachios. Lol. The chef added pumpkin seeds to my salad instead of pistachios to make sure I still got that same delicious crunch.

It's the little things that restaurants do that make you feel truly special. I really appreciate the chef for making that small modification for me.

Next up comes my friend's order, which I have to say was equally impressive. She ordered the shrimp and grits. As a matter of fact, the shrimp and grits were the reason why she voted for our brunch date to take place at Redbird. The dish boasts a harmonious marriage of flavors and textures, with plump, succulent shrimp perfectly complemented by velvety grits. The dish is a testament to Redbird's commitment to elevating familiar classics to new heights.

Then there was the whole vibe and aesthetic of the restaurant. It was beautiful. I can only imagine what it looks like when that fire is blazing at night and the music is pumping with drinks flowing. Between the stellar customer service, the delicious food, and the gorgeous setting, there are few better places to enjoy a meal in Los Angeles. Especially on those bright, sunshiny days when all you want to do is kick back and enjoy the company of those you love.

Oh, it's probably important for me to let you know that they also have indoor dining options available as well. But again, it's Los Angeles—who really wants to hide from the sun when hanging out in LA? My thoughts exactly, no one.

Whether you're seeking a romantic evening or a sophisticated gathering with friends, Redbird's modern ambiance, paired with its delectable menu, makes it a must-visit destination for culinary enthusiasts in Los Angeles.

Cheers guys!
